Some New Dear Lillie Items and The Winner of Our Savannah Tank

The weekend is here - yay!  It was a beautiful day up here. The weather was gorgeous. It was warm, but not too hot and there wasn't any humidity. After dinner, my parents, Lillie and I went on a stroll through the town of Keene. Lillie had fun skipping down the sidewalk, waving and saying hi to everyone we saw, and petting several little puppies. Her favorite part, though, was when Papa got her a little snack at the Ye Goodie Shoppe! She is really going to miss it when we head back to Virginia next week.

Here are a few pictures we snapped last night of a few new shirts I have made, a new headband, a new necklace (that I LOVE) by my sister, Dana, and a new children's skirt for the fall. My mom made the skirt and it is my new favorite! Lillie loves it. She even ran over and picked it out this evening to wear when we went out to dinner. It was a bit hot out for a warm plaid skirt, but oh well! I suppose it was better than her wanting to wear her bathing suit. We have another skirt in the works in a chocolate brown tiny houndstooth print that I am so excited about, too! And eventually we are hoping to do a little gray wool jumper. We have the fabric for it, but it might be a while before we get to that one.

A little bit of info on the children's skirts and dresses that we have been previewing here on the blog. We will probably only be offering most of them in a limited quantity for now. My mom is the one who has been making them and she takes care of her father (my grandfather) who has Alheizmer's. Because of this, it is hard to know on a week to week basis what kind of week she is going to have and how much sewing time she will have. So, if you see one of the children's skirts or dresses listed in our shop it means go ahead and snatch it up and she will be able to make them, but if you don't see them it means that particular week she won't be able to. Basically, if when our shop reopens you are looking to buy some of the items that you have seen on our blog and don't see them, or if one week you see several skirts and dresses and then they are all gone the next week it is most likely because of that. We do hope to eventually be offering everything on a regular basis as we continue to grow, but are still working out a bunch of things as we are expanding. I hope that makes sense. I am rather tired at the moment and probably am writing in circles - sorry!

Anyway, here are some pictures from last night of a few new items:

Lillie wearing our new Tanis Skirt (in a brown and black plaid) with our new Emmalise Headband. (Bolero and shoes by Joyfolie)....I actually think this skirt would look sooooo cute with a black turtleneck, black tights and little black shoes, or a cream sweater and tall boots, but it was way too warm to put Lillie in that when we took these pictures last night. Also, she was so busy chasing "Papa" around on the tractor or snuggling with Jamie that I didn't get a single good shot of it. =( It is so adorable in real life! As soon as we have a cool night I am going to put her in some boots and a sweater and attempt to take some better shots.

She has a fabulous blog called Etsy it Up! We will send you an e-mail to see what size you would like. Congratulations!!!!!

Pretty and Posies and a New Tutu WINNER!

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all doing well. I tried to do this post last night but our lovely internet service up here in the middle of nowhere kept going out. Argh! So, hopefully it will work this time!

I figured it was time to share another one of my favorite blogs, Pretties and Posies, with you all. This particular blog is one of my favorites for so many reasons. To begin with, Melanie's writing is beautiful. The posts are a mixture of sweet, funny, touching, and sometimes even heartbreaking, but they are always beautiful, even the ones that make you want to cry! Melanie takes the most breathtaking photographs and has a stunning home filled with her own artwork which is lovely as well. She also has two gorgeous little girls both of whom are adopted. This is something I have particularly enjoyed reading about because it is so close to my heart. Ever since I was an extremely little girl (maybe five or six?) and my mom read me a story about Amy Carmichael, I have always wanted to adopt. Jon and I actually started the process this spring, but due to a bunch of reasons have put it on hold for now. We have spent a lot of time praying about it, and although right now it doesn't seem to be the right time, it is absolutely something I cannot wait to do and I so enjoy reading other people's journeys! Anyway, here are some photos from Melanie's blog, including pictures of her home as well as family member's homes she has helped with. Also be sure to check out her two fabulous Etsy shops Lettered Threads (I love her hand-painted pillows!!!) and Melanie M Originals.

And here are her two darling daughters!
All of the beautiful photos in this post are by Melanie

And the Winner of the Tutu is.......

Good evening, everyone! I am sorry this is so late. I have been trying to post this for almost two hours now and our internet keeps shutting down - argh!  First, I want to share a few pictures from this weekend. We took Lillie out to model the Scout Dress. The dress she is wearing is actually a size smaller than she normally wears now and she is wearing it as more of a tunic. It looks really cute with leggings now that she is getting taller! This is probably my favorite thing that my mom has made for her and she has worn it over and over and over these past 5 or 6 months. Sometimes we dress it up with a fancy pair of shoes and a bolero from Joyfolie and lots of times we dress it down and just wear it with a pair of Chucks and wear it out to play!

Kissing Auntie Jamie (jacket by Joyfolie)

Jamie and Josh keep trying to steal Lillie and pretend she is theirs!

We have also had a lot of fun playing down by the swamp and catching frogs last night. Here she is wearing the Ella Tank with matching hair clip and the Elise Skirt.

Josh turned some music on and Jamie and Lillie had so much fun dancing! (Well, Lillie did, anyway.... haha)

And tonight we let her ride from the house to the swamp which she LOVED! (Don't worry, she rode from the swamp over to Jamie and "Dutch's" house in my car in her carseat!)

She even gave the froggy a kiss (it didn't turn into a prince, though....)

And now it is time to announce the winner of our latest giveaway! The winner is entry number 199: TARA!!!!

Congratulations! However, unless I am blind I can't find your e-mail address on your blogger profile. Please e-mail us at dearlillie@hotmail.com to let us know which tutu and size you would like. If we haven't heard from you by Wednesday we will draw another winner.

Thank you all so much for entering! Please feel free to enter our giveaway that is still going on for our Savannah Tank!!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

New Clutch Preview, the Friendly Farm, and Jason's New Blog

Wow! Was it ever a crazy day yesterday! It was so much fun, though! Thank you all for your kind words of support! I know I owe so many e-mail and promise I am going to start getting to them tomorrow! It is a pretty lengthy list, though, so it may take me a few days.

Due to Lillie being up sick for a good bit of the night we ended up deciding it was best for her to stay at home. My mom graciously offered to stay with her and not go to the shoot. It was a tough decision to make, but I am definitely glad we did. I don't know if she could have handled five hours in the car and another four at the shoot. Plus, she had the best day ever! Haha! She ended up feeling fine so my parents took her to the Friendly Farm in Dublin and they had a ball! In fact, when she hopped in their car this morning she said "Yay" and started clapping. I think my animal-obsessed child thought they were headed there again. Haha! They also made home-made play-doh and painted! Lillie had so much fun she didn't miss me at all! =( It was the longest I have ever left her so it was quite hard for me, but she had so much fun I think she was a tad disappointed when I returned!

Jamie and I headed on down to the shoot where there were a whole bunch of little girls excited to model tutus, a few tanks and some hair clips and headbands. They were all adorable and so sweet. It was so much fun, and so exciting, but absolute chaos at times with, around twelve little girls (I think?)  ages one through seven running around! I am so grateful to Ashley and Rich of Pizzuti Studios for doing this for us. After all the kiddos left, Jamie and our cousin Michael's beautiful wife, Dani, modeled our women's shirts and dresses. That went smoothly and quickly! As soon as I have some photos I will share them all with you. As it is summer, and therefore, peak wedding season, it may be a little while before they are able to get them to us. Along with a huge thank you to Ash and Rich, I want to thank all of the beautiful little girls, the moms and the two dads, and Dani and Jamie! We appreciate it so much! And thank you so much, Mom and Dad, for taking Lillie for the whole day!

So, although I don't have any pictures from the shoot to share yet, I will post a few pictures of our newest clutch, The Montgomery, in two new color ways (I posted some pictures of it in ivory a few weeks ago). Please pardon these horrible photos. I felt like my photography skills were getting better, until I took these shots where I somehow regressed terribly - haha! In my defense, the lighting was horrible when I tried to take them and that certainly didn't help any.

Here is the Montgomery Clutch in a Beautiful Coral Floral Print

You can also purchase it with a beautiful burnt-edge flower

And here is the Montgomery in Ebony (it also will be available plain)

And my favorite part of the clutches is the surprise when you open it - the lining in each of them is a fun print that coordinates with the clutch!

And here are some pictures from Lillie's fabulously fun trip to the Friendly Farm with "Moo Moo" and "Papa"

Also, check out the post my brother, Jason, did about Lillie on the blog he just started, "small talk", which is also the title of the book he is working on. Here are some pictures we took a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to come up with a good one for his header, footer and profile picture. The irony of the shots, is that if you know Jason, you know he has probably has no idea how to even start the tractor! The first picture is my favorite, although I can't decide if I like it better in black and white or color. I think black and white.

Don't forget we are currently hosting two giveaways! Just scroll down to the next post to enter to win our Savannah Tank. That giveaway ends on Thursday at midnight and click here to enter out Tutu Giveaway which you have until tomorrow (Sunday) at midnight to enter. We will announce that winner on Monday!

We also have several other new items we are working on. My mom and I went and got some fall fabric tonight and she is going to be making a skirt and jumper - I can't wait for them to be finished so I can show you all! She also is almost done with a white skirt that we will be listing when we reopen. I am hoping to take some pictures of it either tomorrow or Monday.

Oh and does anyone know how to fix the time settings? I had someone point out to me yesterday that my last post says I published it at one-something and I actually posted it at just before four. At first I thought I must just have my time set to the wrong zone but I checked it and it was set for EST, so I am not sure? Any ideas on why it did this or how to fix it? I have actually had it happen several times now but it never mattered until my last post when I stated that it was 3:30 as I was writing it and it looks like I posted it at 1. Arghh!

Well, goodnight all! I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!
